Students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) have begun packing out following the indefinite closure of the university by the Ashanti Regional Security Council and the School’s administration.

The order follows a meeting organised by the Regional Security Council and authorities of the university administration decision to close the school indefinitely.

Students of the university took to the streets yesterday to register their displeasure over what they term as an autocratic style of leadership exhibited by management of the university.

The ‘peaceful’ demonstration organised by the Students Representative Council led to vandalism of both private and public properties.
