KNUST: Dean of Students, Prof. Williams Garibah Resigns


Sources closer to the Dean of students Office of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology have confirmed to successafrica.info that the Dean of Students, Professor Williams Garibah has resigned off his post as the Dean of Students.

Sources indicate Professor Garibah handed over his resignation letter somewhere last two weeks but the University is yet to officially announce his resignation.

In an interview with Professor Garibah, he indicated that it not a practice of the university that he confirm the trending news until the university releases an official statement to that effect.

Professor Garibah’s reasons for his resignation is not clearly known but our sources indicate it has a relation to the recent demonstration staged by students of the university over what they term as an unfair treatment meted out to colleague students by the internal security of the university.

Meanwhile the Head of Security Office and that of the URO still remains vacant as the university looks forward to getting people to occupy such high offices.

Sources also indicate a new Dean of Students of the University is expected to be announced in February.
