What is NSS Certificate? 

The NSS Certificate is a document that contains a certified statement as to the truth of your successful completion of National Service. In Ghana, it is compulsory to do National Service after completing a diploma or a degree program and you are above 18 years.

Is the NSS certificate ready?

The NSS Certificates are ready. The National Service Scheme usually release a communique to inform National Service Personnel of the readiness of their certificate. The certificate is processed once you finish your service and submit your annual evaluation form.

How NSS certificate is useful?

The NSS certificate is highly useful if you plan on working in Ghana. There are so many instances your employer will require for your National Service Certificate. For state-owned entities, you cannot be employed if you have not completed your mandatory 1-year service.

You cannot hold any public office if you have not completed your National Service. This is not the only thing it will restrict you of. You may encounter several instances where your National Service Certificate will be needed. It is our advice that you do the National Service.

The National Service Scheme, NSS certificate can now be accessed via the NSS certificate portal: https://www.nsscertificate.com/

For you to get your certificate delivered to you, you need to fulfil the following

  1. Personnel must have completed their mandatory one (1) year (12 months) National service.
  2. Personnel must have had their annual assessment form filled with a fair assessment of their performance by their immediate supervisor of Head of the User Agency where served.
  3. Assessment forms must have been submitted at the various District offices of the scheme where the Agency is located
  4. Submit your NSS Number for verification in the field below
  5. Submit your Means of Identification
  6. Fill in your details in the request form displayed
  7. Make payment for delivery using the several possible options available

Note: Certificates from All regions are now available on the system. If you cannot find your certificate after the search below, send a complaint email to certificatesupport@nss.gov.gh

How do I track my NSS certificate?

Visit the NSS Certificate Portal to track your certificate: https://www.nsscertificate.com/

The National Service Scheme makes it possible for Service Personnel to track their certificate in the same portal they requested for their certificates.

If you are already logged in, you can see the tracking right after logging in. If not, you can use your tracking number to track your NSS Certificate delivery via DHL’s official tracking link here.

All you have to do is to key your NSS Certificate tracking code there and hit enter, you are good to go.
