The Developer and Executive Coordinator of FAPIMPA Foundation, Kobina Adomadzi Longdon recently had an invigorating meeting with Mr Franklin Karikari, Business Development Director of National Entrepreneurship & Innovation Plan (NEIP).
The meeting held at the NEIP head office in Accra, on Thursday, 31/05/2019 sought to establish working relationship between NEIP & FAPIMPA Foundation towards the implementation of strategies outlined for the ongoing ZONGO Enterprenurship Training (ZET) Bootcamp. ZET BootCamp is a skills acquisition, digital literacy and entrepreneurship training support project targeting to engage some 1200 youths between 16 to 29 years across selected MMDAs across Eastern Region of Ghana.
Mr Karikari highlighted the core mandate and strategies the NEIP through the innovative leadership of the CEO, Lawyer John Kumah has introduced in recent times as part of coordinated efforts to proactively support young entrepreneurs to grow their ideas and skills into profitable enterprises within Ghana and beyond. He emphasized the readiness of NEIP to work with stakeholders including Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), and Nongovernmental Organisations (NGOs) towards achieving the core objectives of NEIP and the Government of Ghana.
The Business Development Director commended FAPIMPA Foundation (CSO) for their commitment to work with NEIP towards achieving these salient objectives through the ZET BootCamp project and related activities.
On his part, Kobina Adomadzi Longdon, Executive Coordinator of FAPIMPA Foundation, expressed gratitude to NEIP and the Business Development Director for the audience.
He proposed a working relation that will foster the provision of Business Startup Training and Capital to qualified trainees to boost their enterprises to become active registered businesses as part of the ZET BootCamp sustainbility plan.
Mr. Adomadzi reiterated that ZET BootCamp has so far secured project implementation commitment of the Ministry of Inner Cities & Zongo Development, the Zongo Chiefs Council (Eastern Region), the Office of the Chief Imam (Eastern Region), National Youth Authority (Eastern Region), Koforidua Technical University- CEID, Global Schools Program among other key stakeholders.
FAPIMPA Foundation has already announced initial recruitment for interested ZET BootCamp participants and trainings will begin from New Juaben North and South Municipalities from 31st May to 30 June, 2019 and encourage many more youths to patronize the project to profit from it interrelated components.
