UPSA SRC Vetting Results: Mabel Obeng Tops All – Full Results Here

As part of the preparations for the general elections of the Students’ Representative Council of the University of Professional Studies (UPSA), the electoral commission of the SRC has held a screening exercise for candidates who availed themselves to contest for various positions.

The vetting process took place on 20th April 2022 at AB 6. Twenty-three (23) aspirants presented themselves to be vetted. Of this number, 21 aspirants who met the pass mark were approved and recommended, whilst 2 aspirants were disqualified.

Mabel Obeng, a level 300 student reading BSc. Business Administration, has topped the vetting by securing 88% from the scores of the vetting panel chaired by Mr. Edmond Vorgbe.

Mabel Obeng is an aspirant for the office of the external affairs president. She did not only top the vetting of the office she’s aspiring for, but that of the other offices combined.

The SRC election is expected to be held on 4th May 2022 for regular students and on 7th May 2022 for the evening students.

The provisional results of the election are expected to be declared on 7th May 2022, when polls are closed.
