College of Health and Well-Being, Kintampo, Bono East

College of Health and Well-Being, Kintampo (Formerly Rural Health Training School) became fully established in 1969 by the Ministry of Health Ghana.

It has the mandate to churn out quality multi-purpose health personnel for the provision of quality health care throughout the country. So far, College Health & Well-Being is the only school of its kind in the country.

The motto is “Educating For Service” with a guiding principle of producing human resource capable of providing health services that is simple in operation, extensive in scope, affordable and yet efficient in quality.

Nursing & Midwifery Training School ,Korle-Bu, Accra

The Korle Bu Nurses Training College is number one on our top 10 Nursing Schools in Ghana is public tertiary health institution in Accra in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. The college is in the Accra Metropolitan Assembly. The activities of the institution is supervised by the Ministry of Education.

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology awards a Diploma in Nursing after students from the institution have successfully completed a three-year nursing training programme.

The institution is accredited by the National Accreditation Board. The Nurses and Midwifery Council (NMC) regulates the activities, curriculum and examination of the School.

The Council’s mandate Is enshrined under section 4(1) of N.R.C.D 117. The establishment of the college was supervised by Agnes Yewande Savage, the first West African woman medical doctor.

The 37 Nurses Training College (NTC) trains soldiers and civilians. The role of the department is to train nursing staff for the Ghana Armed Forces Medical Services.

Divisions under the department are Nurse Anesthetist School, Health Assistants (Clinical) Training School, Registered General Nursing and Registered Midwifery Training School.

The teaching staff are both military and civilians with full-time and part-time schedules. Non-Teaching Staff are both Military and Civilian. Currently, civilian students pay subsidized fees.

Nursing & Midwifery Training College , Kumasi

Kumasi Nursing and Midwifery Training College was founded in 1957 by the Medical Mission Sisters of the Kumasi Church. The school offers two Basic Diploma Programs, Nursing and midwifery.

Affiliated to the second biggest health facility in the country, the college provides high standard theoretical and clinical coursework in all the aspects of diploma standard general nursing and midwifery.

The activities of the institution is supervised by the Ministry of Health. The college now awards direct diploma Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery after students from the institution have successfully completed a three-year training programme.
