TTA Congratulates the Newly Elected Officers of the sister Association; TEACHER TRAINEES ASSOCIATION OF GHANA (TTAG)
Students Leadership is one of the important tools functioning in our modern world. It creates an equal and democratic platform for student leaders to contribute to the welfare and development of our students in Ghana. Speaking of the All African Students Union (AASU), National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS), University Students Association of Ghana (USAG) ,etc
The TeacherTrainees Association of Ghana (TTAG) last week held their annual residential congress in the Volta Region, Hohoe, precisely at St. Francis University College of Education to elect new officers to lead the association in the 2019/2020 academic year ahead.
With the paradigm of electioneering processes in TTAG, the sector executives are elected at the five sectors ( ASHBA, ATTRICONS, WEC, VOLTA & EGA ) before the national elections. In view of this,TTA extends a warm congratulations to the newly elected executives of both the National and Sector executives.
There is a popular saying by Maya Angelou that goes; “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” We will well recall the incident that occurred last year between TTAG and TTA concerning the National Service saga which drew more media attention to the false premise that TTA and TTAG are of different stance about the issue.
We want to state with no ambivalence that the National Convener, Antwi Karikari Patrick who was a two times executive officer of TTAG was not and has never been expelled from the Association and therefore the publication from the EducationGhana.net blogger is an arrant fallacy.
On this note we urge the Newly Elected National TTAG president Hon. Augustine Appiah , to steer the affairs of the Association with great passion, dedication and commitment for “A leader takes people where they want to go. A great leader takes people where they don’t necessarily want to go, but ought to be.” – Rosalynn Carter.
