Management of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has set Friday, September 11 and Saturday, September 12, 2020, for its virtual congregation.
A document sighted by our news team shows a provisional calendar for the remainder of the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 academic years which provide the said date for the virtual congregation.
The decision, according to the document, was made during the Executive Committee Meeting held on 29th July 2020.
This decision confirms our earlier report on a planned virtual congregation for final year students of the University on the same date.
Like other institutions, the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology closed down following the directive of the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo as part of measures to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.
The university as part of measures to ensure academic continuity moved its academic activities to the virtual space. Mid-Semester Examination and End of Semester Examination were taken on the school’s virtual classroom.
