KNUST is ‘Burning’: Students Flogged For Chanting ‘Jama’ on Campus by Security Men


About a two minutes video sited by the news team of Successafrica.info suggest that students believed to be affiliated to the University hall, Katanga and Unity hall, Conti of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology have been flogged for chanting Jama on campus.[irp posts=”2124″ name=”UCC Student Busted by Police For Kidnapping SHS Girl”]

The incident which occurred on Friday 7th September 2018 around 8pm has caused a huge social media outrage by students of the university and the general public.

Report indicate that affiliates of the Unity hall have earlier been denied access to their Jama drums and other musical instruments around 7:00pm before marching to the parade grounds to embark on their usual Friday tradition.[irp posts=”2085″ name=”The Police We think We Know”]

As to the exact words in the song which triggered the beatings from the security men is not yet known.
