The News team of Successafrica.info has come across about a 30 second video believed to be a student being brutalised by some police personnel in the course of ensuring calm during students protest on Monday.

The identity of the affected student is not yet known. Sources say he was caught in front of Independence hall where some students were reportedly destroying access control machines and other school properties.

The arrested student was not part of the students vandalising properties, however he was caught in the process of vanishing from the scene.

He was brutalised and subsequently  forced into the police vehicle, reports say.

The incident happened around 4pm on Monday, 22nd October, 2018 in front of Independence Hall after the students had protested against brutality meted out to some students of the university on Friday 19th October, 2018 in front of the University Hall, Katanga.
