The Ghana Institute of Journalism will today Friday, November 23 swear-in Professor Kwamena Kwansah-Aidoo as its Rector in a ceremony to be held at the forecourt of the Institute.

He succeeds Dr. Wilberforce Dzisah who had his appointment terminated earlier this year based on a decision reached by the governing council of the Institute.

Professor Kwansah-Aidoo would preside over all functions and activities of the Communication Specialized Institute, and confer on qualified persons all degrees, diplomas and certificates awarded by the school.

Until his appointment in August as the Rector of the Institute, Professor Kwamena Kwansah-Aidoo was a professor of Public Relations and Marketing at the Swinburne University of Technology in Australia.

Education Minister Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh is expected to be at the ceremony today as special guest of honour.
