The Dean of Students Affairs of the University of Ghana has disclosed that, management are assessing the risk level of the novel coronavirus and would cancel mass programs if the risk level ascertained is high, Successafrica.info reports.
Professor Godfred Bokpin made the revelation in an Interview with Citi TV’s news presenter when asked of the university’s preparedness for its possible outbreak.
He emphasized that the university takes it very seriously because of its exposure to international students and some students also embark on exchange programmes.
He noted that, the university has already taking preventive measures and its still sensitizing students and the General Public on the virus.
Meanwhile, the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has today suspended all outdoor events including Hall Weeks, Dinner Nights, Awards Nights, Academic and Non-academic excursion.
Two people so far have tested positive of the virus and are been kept in isolation as Government takes measures to trace the virus.
