Management of the University of Education, Winneba has suspended all outdoor events including Hall Weeks, Awards Nights, Excursions and other Mass Programmes.
The decision comes in the wake of the rapid spread of the novel Coronavirus.
UEW has not been the only University to suspend all events so far, the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology earlier today also suspended all outdoor events.
UCC earlier suspended all Hall Weeks and other programmes after the Oguaa Hall and Casford Hall Clashed.
Reports also indicate the University of Ghana may also follow suit to suspend all Mass Programmes if evaluation of risk assessment of the virus ascertained proves higher.
