The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETfund) has begun accepting applications from Prospective Students who desire to enroll in undergraduate Programmes at all Universities in Ghana, this 2021/2022 Academic Year.
Who qualifies for GETFund Scholarship?
All Prospective Students who are Citizens of Ghana are eligible to apply.
Prospective Students must, however, meet certain requirements to be considered for the GETfund Scholarships.
GETFund Application Form
Unlike the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat foreign application that you fill out the forms online and submit them, GETfund does not have an application form for any of the scholarships they offer.
Applicants are advised to write their application letter, attach the other requirements we have stated below and submit them to the head office for processing.

GETFund Scholarship Application Letter
Applicants are expected to write an application letter, addressing it to the fund administrator. Applicants are advised not to submit a handwritten application letter. The application letter must be nicely written with a clear reason(s) why you think the fund should sponsor your foreign studies.

GETfund Scholarship List 2022
Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETfund) does not release the list of successful applicants. Successful applicants are contacted via the contact details they provide on their application letter.
You are advised to provide the correct contact details so that you can be reached when your application is successful.
Level/Field of Study of the Scholarship
GETFund is available for undergraduate students. This is to help them pursue a degree. The scholarship is open to all students who have gained admission to various tertiary institutions in the country.
Host Nationality of GETFund scholarship 2022 for Undergraduate
GETFund scholarship for Ghana students, 2021 is hosted by the government of Ghana.
Eligible Nationality of GETFund Scholarships for Ghana Students 2022
Every Ghanaian who has gained admission to a tertiary institution is eligible to apply. Thus the eligible nationality is Ghana.
The Worth of the Scholarship
The worth of GETFund scholarship for Ghana students in 2022 is a full scholarship. GETFund pays full academic fees for its successful applicants.

Requirements For GETFund Application Are;
All applicants are required to complete their application form via the GETFund Scholarship Portal
- All applicants are required to create a user account and complete their application form via the GETFund Scholarship Portal.
- Scanned copy of proof of Nationality (Copy of Passport / National I.D Card).
- Scanned copy of admission letter clearly stating the program duration in it.
- Scanned copy of approved Fee Schedule (2022/23 Academic Year).
- Scanned copy of 1st degree certificate (Masters and PhD applicants only).
- Scanned copy of other degree certificate (PhD applicants only).
- Scanned copy of previous transcript (Masters and PhD applicants only).
- Scanned copy of National Service Certificate where applicable (Masters and PhD applicants only).
- Copy of Curriculum Vitae (Masters and PhD applicants only)

What are my chances of gaining the scholarship?
Every Ghanaian citizen who meets the prerequisite requirement for application has an equal chance of gaining a scholarship.
Which local universities in Ghana can I get a GETFund Undergraduate Scholarship application for?
All local Tertiary Institutions accredited by Ghana Tertiary Education Council to run undergraduate courses are eligible for scholarship application.
Can I apply for the GETFund Undergraduate Scholarship before being accepted into a university in Ghana?
No. All scholarship applicants are required to have a valid Admission offer letter from a local university to be able to apply for a scholarship from the GETFund
How do I know if I am eligible to apply for the GETFund Undergraduate Scholarship?
The basic eligibility requirement is for an applicant to be a Ghanaian Citizen, followed by all other requirements as stated on the Scholarship application portal.
What should I include in my GETFund Undergraduate application letter?
A scholarship application letter should consist of relevant details in relation to the applicant, the institution of the applicant, the course of the applicant, applicant fees per academic semester, academic year or entire academic duration, and other information deemed relevant by the applicant.
NB: Note that, the selection process is rigorous, and the scholarship is competitive, hence provide all the necessary details as required and follow laid down processes to stand a better chance of selection.
