APPLY: GETFund Local Scholarship For 2021/2022 (Postgraduate)


The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) has begun accepting applications from Prospective Students who desire to enroll in Post Graduate Programmes at all Universities in Ghana, this 2021/2022 Academic Year.

Who qualifies for GETFund Scholarship?

All Prospective Students who are Citizens of Ghana are eligible to apply.

Prospective Students must however meet certain requirements to be considered for the Getfund Scholarships.

Level/Field of Study of the Scholarship

GETFUND is available for masters students. This is to help them pursue a degree. Also, this could be in any field of study in a foreign university. And, the scholarship is open to all graduates with a first degree. Especially for those who want to register for a master’s degree at a foreign university.

Host Nationality of GETFund Scholarships for Ghana Students 2021

GETFund scholarship for Ghana students, 2021 is hosted by the government of Ghana.

Eligible Nationality of GETFund Scholarships for Ghana Students, 2021

Every Ghanaian who holds a first degree is eligible to apply. Thus the eligible nationality is Ghana.

The Worth of the Scholarship

The worth of GETFund scholarship for Ghana students 2021 is a full scholarship. Also, this includes paid-tuition and other expenses taken care of.

The Ghana Education Trust Fund is accepting applications for Postgraduate (Masters and Ph.D. Programs) Local scholarships for the 2021/2022 Academic year. The effective opening date for applications is Tuesday 15 September 2021 and the closing date for applications is Thursday, 15 October 2021.


-Application letter

-Proof of Nationality (Copy of Passport / National I.D Card)

-Copy of Admission letter: Stating the program duration

-Fee Schedule (2021/22 Academic Year)

-Copy of 1st-degree certificate (Masters and Ph.D. applicants only)

-Copy of previous transcript (Masters and Ph.D. applicants only)

-Copy of National Service Certificate (Masters and Ph.D. applicants only)

-Copy of Curriculum Vitae (Masters and Ph.D. applicants only)

Applicants should ensure the above requirement have been fully complied with.

Applicants should submit their applications in person and/or via registered mail which shall include their contact details.

Please note that all correspondence will be done exclusively between the GETFund and the scholarship applicants.

Please be advised that scholarship applications shall be received at the GETFund reception ONLY for processing.
