COVID-19: Church Refunds 3 years Tithe to Assist Members

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints has asked the tithe paying members of the church to contact their Bishops for a refund of tithes paid to the church since May 2017.

The order was communicated in the release by the church which has been sighted by Successafrica.info

The release dated May 3, 2020, is part of the church’s tithe refund program which aims at supporting members of the church who are going diverse problems during the COVID-19 period.

“We are pleased to announce a General Tithing Refund Program to serve as a help in these difficult times. The church will refund up to three years of tithing payments directly to members who have contributed in the past.

“Eligible recipients include all active and less active, as well as all former members who paid tithing on or after May 1, 2017. Members should contact their bishop or branch president to request a refund,” the statement sighted by successafrica.info read in part.
