Some former executives of the National Union of Ghana Students’ have cleared the air over purported Gh¢ 25,000 paid to the union as dues by the Students’ Representative Council of University of Ghana.
News recently broke that the SRC President, Master Isaac Agyemang has blown some Gh¢ 66,138. However, the SRC in a statement said none of their officers has been implicated in blowing the said amount.
They also said the school’s audit board have taken receipts of all transactions conducted by the SRC and will present a report within 7 days.
Reacting to a purported Gh¢ 25,000 paid to the National Union of Ghana Students’ as dues as some receipts indicate, Master Eric Guggisberg Asante and Master Michael Ofori, former Financial Controller and Former Treasurer respectively of the union have denied receiving such amount from the students front.
” We didn’t receive any money from UG, maybe that was paid to some people, so far as we are concerned, that didn’t happen.”
Speaking to the news team of Successafrica.info, Master Eric Guggiberg said they are ready to publish the income and expenditure of the union by Wednesday 12th February, 2020.
” We will by Wednesday, 12th Feb, release the income and expenditure of the union that does not feature any transaction between the union and UG SRC”.
They describe the act as one to put the name of executives of the union into disrepute.
