The Electoral Commission has reiterated its decision to still go ahead to compile new voters register despite fears over coronavirus outbreak.

The commission, however, said it will put in place the necessary measures to protect their staff and the public during the exercise.

It comes days after four additional cases were confirmed Sunday after the initial two that were recorded last Thursday.

So far, a total of 143 suspected cases have been tested for COVID-19 by the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research (NMIMR) and Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research (KCCR).
