The sad news convened has it that Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidate, Richard Mensah, currently writing this year’s exam, has died at Apremdo in the Western Region.

The death of the candidate came as surprise to classmates, parents and teachers as well.

In more detail, reports say he died after writing his four papers.

According to his grandmother who was speaking in an interview Connect FM said her 19-year-old grandson initially complained of a headache on Monday but managed to write four of his papers on Monday and Tuesday until it became severe.

He was rushed to the Jemima Hospital at Kwesimintsim on Wednesday but could not make it.

Richard Mensah was a final year student of the Apowa Methodist Junior High School and was a candidate writing his exam at the St. Mary’s Senior High School Examination Center.
