The Asanteman Derby, the first of its kind, is set to rock Kumasi with scintillating football displays from the alumni of some of the biggest senior high schools in Kumasi this Easter.
The 2011 alumni batch of some high school giants in the Garden City including Kumasi High School (KUHIS), Kumasi Anglican Senior High School (KASS), Prempeh College (PC), and Opoku Ware School (OWASS) brings your way a football festival dubbed the ‘ASANTEMAN DERBY’.
The event which is slated for Saturday, 16th of April 2022 promises to be exciting, fun, and entertaining at the KNUST Brunei Astroturf. It is scheduled to kick off at precisely 3:00 pm, and it is totally free.
The event presents a wonderful opportunity for old students and alumni to catch up with old friends, rekindle old relationships (if you know what I mean), and renew old rivalries. All old students from the 2011 batch as well as any other year group from these schools are encouraged to grace the occasion.
It will serve as a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, make new friends, form new connections and widen your network.
The matches will be fiercely contested, with bragging rights at stake. Will it be the Disciples from Amakom, the Gyinyase Mmerante3, the Amanfoc from Sofo line, or the Santasi stationed Akatakyie who are crowned as the ultimate champions? There will also be fun board games, table tennis, cards, and something for everyone. Come, let’s recreate the fantastic atmosphere of the Milo games, Interco, and Suzo.
This event is not limited to only old students of the above-listed schools, but all and sundry are invited to join in the fun and take part in what promises to be a history-making day.
