2. Opoku Ware School

Opoku Ware School, usually referred to as OWASS, is an all-boys senior high school with a population of approximately 1800 students, one of the biggest senior high schools in Ghana. This institution was established in 1952 and was named after the Asante King Opoku Ware 1. Students and alumni are known as Akatakiye – the Asante word for conquering heroes.
