US House speaker Pelosi arrives in Ghana

    A US congressional delegation led by Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Patricia Pelosi, is in Ghana on a four-day state visit.

    The delegation includes controversial Congresswoman for Minnesota Ilhan Omar, who together with three other progressive Democrats have been at loggerheads with President Trump.

    On the trip to Ghana also includes House Majority Whip, James Clyburn and other Representatives of African descent.

    Amidst cultural display, the delegation was met on arrival at the Jubilee Terminal by Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament, Prof Mike Oquaye together with the minority leader Haruna Iddrisu.

    Madam Pelosi as part of her visit to the country, will hold talks with President Akufo-Addo and address Ghana’s Parliament. A dinner in her honour will take place tonight in parliament.
