President Akuffo Addo has confirmed that the Health Minister, Kwaku Agyeman-Manu has contracted the novel coronavirus and is responding to treatment.
He made the disclosure during his 11th address to the Nation on measures put in place to fight the Covid-19.
News broke a few days ago that the Health Minister had contracted the virus but, Afia Pokua, known as ‘vim lady’ denied the reports after speaking to the Minister, the report on her Facebook page said.
Susie Agyeman-Manu, wife of Ghana’s Health Minister also denied reports that she has contracted COVID-19.
She told StarrFM.com.gh as monitored by our news team of Successafrica.info that none of her children has also contracted the virus.
It comes after media reports that the Health Minister Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, his wife and a son have contracted the virus. The reports noted they are on admission at the University of Ghana Medical Centre.
